A woman and a name
1952. Rosa Cardona, the widow of Isidre Sugrañes, risks it all to start an entrepreneurial adventure led by her son, Ramón Sugrañes. The company “Ceramica Viuda e Hijos de Isidre Sugrañes” is born.
The innovation gene
1972, We begin manufacturing extruded ceramic tiles. 1977, we specialize in swimming pools. 1980, We inaugurate Iberia Tiles in the U.S. 1986, renovation and change: we create the brand Rosa Gres to commemorate the brave and decided entrepreneurial character of Rosa Cardona. 1998, we begin producing our first porcelain tile series. 2000, we launch Hierro 31x31, the first natural stoneware tile that doesn’t stain. 2009, a new vision: in a challenging economic environment, we open a factory in Vallmoll, Spain, with the latest technology and a clear and direct focus on sustainability.
