Simply stain-free
You can easily make a list of all the factors and situations that can cause stains on an exposed floor. Yet you always want it to look clean and beautiful. And above all, it has to be easy to clear. These are our cleaning secrets.
Anti-slip and clean: is it possible?
The greater the anti-slip property of a tile, the more difficult it is to clean. Rosa Gres porcelain tiles are designed to make cleaning easy.Based on our expertise in outdoor flooring, we developed Outfloors® technology, which involves applying hard, rounded granules to the surface of the piece. This provides three benefits: 1) a safe floor 2) a surface that does not easily get dirty and 3) eliminates the need to use ammonia-based cleaning products.
Steps to facilitate cleaning
Choose flooring according to a stain-resistance test, and Class 4 tiles as a minimum.
Choose products that do not contain corundum. They’ll be easier to clean.
After the tile is installed, make sure you do a first-time professional cleaning.
What to do when water has high quantities of calcium
In areas where the water has high levels of calcium, white stains often remain on tile, after they have been cleaned and are dry. To avoid this problem, we recommend using a water softener. Another solution for avoiding this problem is to choose light colors.
ROSA GRES RECOMMENDATION:
There is a test that rates stain resistance in materials, from 1-5, according to cleanability. Materials rated 4 and 5 are the easiest to clean.
