What is the ideal material?
Anti-slip surface is vital since slipping on the border can be extremely dangerous. Make sure that the material you use is anti-slip and that the swimmer can easily hold on in the pool.

Weather-resistant. Ice and thermal shock can have a negative impact on pools, especially those in extreme climates.

Resistant to sun. Colors should not be altered by sun exposure.

Resistant to chemical products.

The surface should be smooth, not porous. It should not be susceptible to bacterial build-up. Comfortable and pleasant to the touch, since swimmers sit directly on it.
